Energy Audit Process

The Four Easy Steps of Home Energy Tune-ups:

  • Step 1 - Inspection: A certified energy inspector examines and measures the home and finds all opportunities for energy savings.

  • Step 2 - Detailed Analysis: Specialized software produces and Report which shows savings and costs for energy efficiency improvements.

  • Step 3 - Implementation: The Report provides detailed information on what steps need to be taken to improve overall efficiency.

  • Step 4 - Taking Action: Each Report provides a list of improvements that will save you more money than they cost to implement.

Complete Customer Satisfaction is our Best Long-Term Investment!

Your home is the most important space in your life...it's the place that reflects your personal taste and lifestyle the most. It is also the place where you build lasting memories and share stories with family and laughs with friends, and at the end of the day, where you seek relaxation and refuge.

At High Performance Homes NW, we understand that when you invite a contractor into your home, it must be someone you can trust. We understand Energy Efficient construction and will guide you through each stage of the process - all while respecting your budget and never sacrificing quality or detail.

A Home Energy Audit makes sense for every type of home

High Performance Homes NW provides energy consulting services, including energy audits and infrared thermal imaging inspections of homes throughout the Pacific Northwest. We focus primarily on the energy issues of existing older homes, although businesses and light commercial properties are also inspected.  Our efforts focus on identifying energy inefficiencies in buildings and offering advice on effective solutions for increasing energy efficiency.

High Performance Homes NW will provide you with a detailed report of our findings, including potential paybacks and a room-by-room analysis.  Learn if it may be time for a new furnace, where insulation is inadequate, which appliances are performing better than others, and the exact locations where a small amount of weather stripping could make a big difference.

In terms of responsibility and reliability, we're second to none.

Being part of a larger community of remodel contractors is an aspect of professionalism we take seriously. Wayne is an active member of the Remodelors Council of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. During 2009, he will be chair of the Remodelors Council. He also sits on a few subcommittees of the council as well. Each year he teaches a class at a neighborhood center in Seattle on how to hire and work with contractors.

Our Team:

JOHN ENGA

"I have been working in the construction field over 22 years; as a carpenter and as a project manager.  My favorite areas are: furniture quality carpentry in detail specific tasks like stairs, cabinetry, moldings, trim... and a life-long interest in renewable energy technology.

Recently my interests have shifted towards sustainability in building and energy efficiency.  I believe that as a society we must be more responsible for our resource usage.  I see this shift in consciousness and know that I have a great deal to offer on how we interface with our environment.  I love the challenge of remodeling and home performance retrofitting, although it can be difficult work at times, when I finish a job I leave our clients with a piece of myself that they will continue to enjoy long after.

When not working I enjoy playing music with my band, hiking and climbing in the mountains with my wife and dogs, donating my time to projects like; Rampathon and the JRMD/YRWD which is involved in building homes, schools and an orphanage in Burundi Africa, and creating a wonderful home for my first child to come home to."

WAYNE APOSTOLIK
